We are celebrating Indo-American Community Day at the ICC on Sunday May 18, 2008. As part of the celebrations, RANA will present a cultural report on Rajasthan including live performances. The purpose of this celebration is:
Community Day 2008, ..showcasing Americas most respected Community…Indo Americans
Community Day 2008 is a historic initiative that charts the progress of the Indo Americans on a journey to becoming “America’s most respected immigrant community”, one that is known to be both successful and ‘gives back’, one that we, as individuals, can say “I am proud to be Indo American”.
Professional organizations, such as TiE Silicon Valley, South Asia Heart Center and South Asian Bar Association will be presenting new trends in creating success, the expanding role of the medical profession, and the benefits of knowing one’s rights.
Cultural organizations such as Bihar Association, Helping Hands, Rajasthan Association North America, Bay Area Tamil Manram, and Basant Bahar will underscore the value of preserving our heritage, and ICC’s Karaoke Club will show you how bringing together the community fosters excellence.
Then, for the very first time, listen to the Philanthropist Forum, an inspirational panel, who will shatter the myths about philanthropy and redefine ‘giving back’. Hear how community issues are solved, then see the results by visiting the Exhibition where Community Service organizations such as Maitri, Narika, Sankara Eye Clinic and many more present their work.
Next, stop by the Kids Korner and see artistic creations that demonstrate community values. Not to be outdone, the Jollywood Dancers shall present Dance Therapy and the secrets to vibrant longevity.
As RANA community members, you are welcome to participate in these celebrations. ICC has a discount for you to use for participating at this event. Registration is necessary for participation and can be performed through: https://www.123signup.com/register?id=tvdgv. Please use the promotion code Community to get 50% off your admission prices.
