First you have to get well dressed--like a bride. Then do pooja of parvati ji, just saying a few bhajans are good enough, or u can even do a durga saptshati pooja, but for practical purposes and to have a fun gangore, just do the pooja urself. Then take the blessings of a married lady who is older than you and also give her a gift. Then eat with your husband presumably. Thats gangor in a nutshell....it comes in march, seems u will have to catch it next year. By the way, you have to continue gangor pooja for 16 days before the actual gangor day. Then there is shinjara, where your inlaws give you dresses, jewellery, cars (if u have it like that) so basically laxmi will always bless their home. Unmarried should do this for their potential mate and married within one year should go to their maternal home to do gangor (newlywed) after the newness of the marriage wears off, then u can continue to do at ur home be it inlaws or otherwise. The old ladies sit down and tell stories about their husbands and how to pray for the long life of the husband. Hope this was helpful.

1.Is there anywhere in California, San francisco where I can buy gangore images(isharji)?
2. Is gangore pooja performed somewhere in bay area, as it is my 1st gangore after marriage, and I dont know how to go about it?

RANA provides a single cabin for a group. If you are bringing additional guests (beyond a total of 4), then those would need to be accommodated in your cabin.

So in your case, you'd get four beds - either one double bed and one bunk bed or two bunk beds. Please contact us if this does not meet your needs.

Thanks a lot for the organiser..At this moment I know only Nikunj as the main organiser. I have reserved the place for this picnic in Yosemite.
I guess there are different kinds of cabins to serve the visitors in the right way..because cabin can accomodate either 2 adults (on queen size) + 2 kids (on double bunkers) or cabin w/ 6 ppl which should have 2 queen size beds...please let me know if I am incorrect..

I will need 2 qeen size beds, so 2 adult guests can also enjoy, BTW guests also hail from Rajasthan.
See you all during the trip

Hi,

I had registered myself for Holi event for FREE couple of days back.

I got an email from 'Nikunj Mehta' for the contact number but after that no reply.

Should we just come to the program location(for Holi) on Saturday or there is anything we need to bring. Will I get a confirmation email from RANA?

Thanks,
Charu

Deeply sorry to hear about Giri's news. Our condolences to Pushpa and the rest of the family. We'll try to come for the bhajans in the temple tomorrow. Meanwhile, we'll keep praying for peace to the departed soul.
